Wishing you a Blessed Christmas and a Prosperous New Year!
First of all and most importantly, I would like to thank all of you who have rallied around us with prayers and financial support in this hour of our need. I know that there are many places you can invest your money for the Lord and there are always bills that have to be paid. Especially at Christmas time as you are trying to stretch your money to buy each one that special gift, I would just ask you to consider giving a special Christmas gift to Jesus through giving to The Way of Life Church.
We reach out to the lost and hurting on this Island of Absecon where Atlantic City, Ventnor, Margate and Longport are located. Some of the obstacles we are dealing with are the casino industry (not very conducive to a normal family life), tourist trade (which is very seasonal and so people work like crazy during the summer and then are laid off the rest of the year). As you may be aware, the boardwalk draws the homeless and needy people. Then there are the addictions and crime. All in all, it is a very challenging work with little chance of a stable continual support income. That is why we are so dependent on you for prayers and support and are so grateful for your continual giving into this ministry.
Currently The Way of Life church building houses a morning worship service, an evening Spanish /English worship service as well as a Filipino service in our rear facility going on at the same time each Sunday. We have prayer meetings every morning throughout the week as well as midmorning Monday and Wednesday evening. We have men and ladies Bible studies on Thursdays, two narcotics anonymous groups, a life recovery group, and three Christian exercise programs.
Our doors are open to the public 7 days a week from 7am to 4 pm. The neighbors know where to come in time of need. We pray with people, stand with them, proclaim the good news to them, introduce them to our precious Savior Jesus and believe with them for great things. We help with financial needs as funds are available, but there are so many needs and so few funds.
We believe that Christmas is a time of celebrating the gift of Emmanuel
(God with us).

So don’t give up, don’t get discouraged, keep doing the good “Anyway” as Mother Teresa would say;
People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.
If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.
What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway
If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.
The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.
You see in the final analysis, it is between you and God;
It was never between you and them anyway.
This Christmas consider that God Himself came as a little baby leaving His glory behind, lived among men and brought the blessings of heaven to earth, was crucified for our sins, was raised from the dead and is King of kings and Lord of Lords reigning over our kingdom. We have everything to celebrate because of who He is, what He has done and what He is doing today.
We just want Him to receive all the glory!
We stand in His righteousness and grace as your servants,
Pastor Steve and Dianne
