Newsletter Fall 2010

At the beginning of 2010, the Lord told us this was going to be the best year ever! What encouraging news that was to our little church! Well, let me tell you we are really looking forward to the blessing! I know it is on the way and in only a short time we will see it. If your year has been anything like mine, you are ready to be blessed, to prosper and to be in health. We have been through the fire and now we are ready for God to rain down His blessings.

The Lord has told me that by Thanksgiving we will really be giving thanks; singing and dancing and praising Him joyfully for all He has done. Then He told me to start studying His word on prosperity. I am not to get a book or DVD or CD of someone else’s teaching but to ask the Holy Spirit to teach me what He says about prosperity. So that is what I am doing being reminded that, when we started the church, God said that everyone who became a member and supporter of the Way of Life Church would prosper and be in good health.

Let me tell you, if the enemy has been messing with you, now is the time to get back to God. If you have been messing with the enemy, now is the time to get back to God. If you have moved away from the family of God, now is the time to come back to church. I have said that this past year I have been through the fire but, because of it, I am more on fire for God than ever before. This is our time! Reconsider your life. The Bible says that if we turn to Him, He runs to us. What a joy it is when God’s children (both young and old) seek His King.
 
The first scripture the Lord gave me is Genesis 30:43, “In this way the man grew exceedingly prosperous  ...” I know you want to become exceedingly prosperous God’s way. Yes! You are welcome to come and join us as we seek God’s wisdom, understanding and instruction. I know you can feel the tug on your heart as the Holy Spirit is saying to you, “This is for you.”  Don’t fight it. Don’t harden your heart. Come and worship the Lord with us and learn at His feet! You won’t be disappointed. God is ready to fulfill His Promise and I want to be in on it. Don’t you?

We ask that you prayerfully consider making a special Thanksgiving offering. The Lord has taught us that in order to get you have to give. I know that in these times the natural tendency is to withhold but let me remind you of the story of Elijah and the widow. God sent Elijah to the widow at Zarephath of Sidon during the famine. He asked her for a cup of water and a piece of bread. She had nothing left but a handful of flour and a   little oil. She was gathering sticks to take home and make a meal for herself and her son that they might eat it and die. Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go home and do as you have said but first make a small cake of bread for me from what you have and bring it to me, and then make something for yourself and your son. For this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says; ‘This jar of flour will not be used up and the jug of oil will not run dry until the day the Lord gives rain on the land.’ ” She went away and did as Elijah had told her. There was food every day for Elijah and for the woman and her family. The jar of flour was not used up and the jug of oil did not run dry in keeping with the word of the Lord spoken by Elijah. Please pray and ask the Lord what you should give and then give it in faith believing that He will supply all your needs. God is still looking for people who expect a miracle.
