Dear Church Family and Friends,

On June 18th 1940 Winston Churchill the British Prime Minister made a famous speech. In his speech he gave a summary of the war that was raging all over Europe. He shared how Hitler’s Blitzkrieg (lightning attack) in just a few weeks had conquered Holland, Luxembourg and Belgium. Paris had fallen on June 14th. Three days later the French requested an armistice.

At the end of his speech he said this, “What General Weygand called the 'Battle of France' is over. I expect that the 'Battle of Britain' is about to begin. Upon this battle depends the survival of Christian civilization. Upon it depends our own British life, and the long continuity of our institutions and our Empire. The whole fury and might of the enemy must very soon be turned on us.

Hitler knows that he will have to break us in this Island or lose the war. If we can stand up to him, all Europe may be free and the life of the world may move forward into broad, sunlit uplands. But if we fail, then the whole world, including the United States, including all that we have known and cared for, will sink into the abyss of a new Dark Age made more sinister, and perhaps more protracted, by the lights of perverted science. Let us therefore brace ourselves to our duties, and so bear ourselves that if the British Empire and its Commonwealth last for a thousand years, men will still say, “This was their finest hour.”

I believe we the Church of Jesus Christ are being given a great challenge in our generation. At this very moment the enemy is poised to destroy Christian Civilization as we know it. Liberal anti-Christian thinking has already swept across Europe and has infiltrated the United States. Our enemy is just as real as Hitler and his Blitzkrieg during the 2nd World War. Prayer and Bible reading and Creationism have been removed from our school systems. The National Day of Prayer has been stopped by our President. The church has become big business with little knowledge of the One True Living God. People are being led around like cattle being bullied by science and so called educators. All are proclaiming they alone have the truth.

My Bible still tells me that there is one God and we are to seek Him in our time of trouble. This is a Christian nation and if we pray to God and seek His help, He will hear our prayers and answer them. This is not a battle that will be won on earth by strength or power or argument. It is a battle that will be won in the heavens by those who belong to Jesus Christ and are willing to pray for our President, pray for our Nation, pray for our school systems and pray that our churches would get out of the entertainment business and back into the Jesus' business of loving God, loving our brothers and sisters in Christ and praying for the lost and hurting. "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that all who believe on Him would have eternal life."

I call to the Church (that means the people of God, not an organization or program or whatever business man has cooked up to keep God’s people amused and busy). I call to people who really want to see the will of God, who want to save this nation from going into a dark age.

Pray! Call out to God for this nation that we would truly be one nation under God! Call out not to Mohammad or Buddha or Science but to Our Father God through Jesus Christ His Son. We are in a battle that can only be won on our knees. Let it be said of this Church Generation, our generation - This was their finest hour for they (we) turned from all the entertainment and things of the world to God and fought the good fight and God gave the Victory.

I have found that everyday, I have to start out being washed with the blood of Jesus. I have to be clothed with the person of Jesus, with His light and life being put on like a garment. Then I have to put on the full armor of God; the helmet of salvation, the breastplate of righteousness, girding my loins with His Truth, shoeing my feet with the Gospel, taking up the shield of Faith and grasping the Sword of the Spirit. This I have to do every day as I go into battle for the Church, for the Nation, for the President, for the Missionaries, for Israel, for you.

We have been called into battle and I pray that spiritual eyes and ears will be opened to the will of God for our generation so that all would be saved, that none would be lost and that once again we would have a passion for God and a compassion for the Lost.

I ask you to help us who are standing to remain strong. Your prayers and support are urgently needed. We do not compete against the world or other churches. We are seeking God and for His Kingdom to come to our generation. 

Let it come in His way, by His Spirit.
