The Bible tells us we are created in the image of God. He created us having spirit, mind and body. To take a Christian holistic view of our life, I believe we have been given the responsibility to care for the things which God has entrusted to us.
God has given us His written word: so we study the Bible and apply it to our mind, heart and daily lives. We endeavor to build our storehouse of knowledge strong in order to live Godly lives pleasing to the Lord.
We acknowledge Jesus as our Lord and Savior and serve Him as our King.
We are baptized in the Holy Spirit and daily are filled with the Spirit in order to move in the gifts of the Spirit and fulfill the plan God has for our lives.
We take care of the temple that the Spirit of God dwells in and uses for His Glory. In this I am referring to our physical bodies.
Spiritual Yoga involves the total person: spirit, mind, and body
Meditation is moving out of the limits of the body and mind and becoming connected with the Creator. It is seeing ourselves the way we were meant to be; full of life and light and joy and peace, flowing through life fulfilling our divine purpose.
Positive Imaging is how we cleanse our thoughts, imaginations, wrong conclusions and negative projections. Our mind becomes healed and whole, we are no longer separated from our Creator.
Exercise involves stretching and muscle building exercises which maintain a supple spine and joints, moving out of dormancy into an active life style. It is also very important to eat right, fueling the body for top performance.
I believe the Holy Spirit has given me insight in how to make our journey through life a little more comfortable. Our society has accomplished many great things in science and medicine but it has not improved the food our bodies need and in many ways has taken away the incentive to exercise and keep the body in top physical shape causing us much pain, sickness, disease and dysfunction. When you add in all the stress that is in our lives, it becomes very difficult to be a joyful, productive Christian.
Paul said that physical exercise profits a little. Spiritual Yoga is a means to get a little of this profit for the Glory of God.
